Welcome to the Advising, Recruitment and Career (ARC) Center website. We are very happy that you are interested in the Teaching Profession and are looking at our Teacher Preparation Program to achieve your academic goals. The Advising, Recruitment and Career (ARC) Center website is designed to help you meet the challenges you will face in the world around you. The information provided in this website will prove valuable as you prepare to enter, and pursue your teaching career. We are committed to providing you with the assistance as well as the knowledge needed to build an effective foundation for effective teaching. Our goal is to prepare effective and certified teachers in our community and keep up with teaching standards. We look forward to working with you and meeting you during your next visit to our center.

Advisors are available, on a walk-in basis, to meet with education students who have completed 30+ credit hours.

Pre-Education majors with 0 – 29 hours will meet with an advisor in the Academic Advising Center on Hawthorne Street. Contact an advisor in the AAC by calling:

Students who plan to become teachers are admitted into the College of Education as pre-education majors.

All students are classified as "pre-education" until they have formally applied and have been accepted into the Teacher Education Program.
